electronic Identity Management (eIDM) Platform | Your Digital Identity, Your Seamless Port Access

The eIDM platform is a new digital portal launched by OnePort in collaboration with the terminals¹ to drive digital transformation and further enhance terminal access security. The platform serves as a centralised, paperless system that digitally manages the identity and access credentials of all key stakeholders entering the terminals—including trucking companies, container truck owners, drivers, and other port users.

Key functions include:

Online Application Platform – This platform helps Hong Kong port users verify their identities and manage any changes (whether first-time applications or subsequent updates), ensuring smooth and secure access to the container terminals.
Electronic Identity – The physical TID card will be officially replaced by the new electronic Tractor Identity (eTID) for terminal access. Further details will be announced shortly.

By digitising identity management, eIDM strengthens terminal security through better monitoring and control of access, while maximising the efficiency gains from process digitalisation.

3 November 2026	eIDM Platform launches – All new applications and updates for gate entrance cards must be submitted online via the eIDM Platform.
3 November 2026 – 14 February 2027	Transition period – To help everyone adapt smoothly to the new arrangement, the HIT Card Center will provide necessary support to applicants in need, including assistance with application submission and answering related enquiries.
