Electronic Release Order (eRO)
Service Terms & Operating Rules

All parties, including but not limited to consignees, trucking companies, shipping lines, terminal operators and depot operators, who register with OnePort Limited (OnePort) for electronic release order (eRO) service shall observe and be bound by the following terms as set out below:

  1. Signing off electronic Letter of Indemnity (eLOI)
    Consignee will sign off the eLOI by going through online two-step verification of identity and authority with one-time password (OTP) on the eRO platform. Shipping line holds the final decision to issue the electronic Release Order (eRO) to the consignee upon validation of the eLOI.
  2. Use of Company Chop
    All companies using electronic Release Order (eRO) service have to register with OnePort. Registered companies agree that the electronic image of its company chop registered with OnePort will only be used as part of the eLOI verification process conducted by the shipping line.
  3. Releasing or Forwarding eRO
    eRO platform facilitates transfer of eRO ownership from one party to another. User should validate all information before executing transfer of eRO ownership to another party on the eRO platform.
  4. Laden Pickup
    Terminal will only release an import container to the tractor which is pre-assigned with a correct plate number on the eRO platform. The tractor's plate number should be assigned 30 minutes prior to physical pickup at terminal to avoid unnecessary delay.
  5. Free Storage Period/ Free Detention Period
    Terminal and depot operator will validate Free Storage Period and Free Detention Period in accordance to the shipping line's instruction recorded on the eRO platform for laden release and empty return respectively. Should there be any discrepancy, consignee should contact shipping line accordingly.
